MONTGOMERY CO. MURDER TRIAL BEING MOVED
A Montgomery County murder-for-hire trial is moving.
84-year-old Dorothy Canfield is charged with two counts of criminal solicitation of capital murder and aggravated assault on a public servant.
Canfield, an inmate at the Montgomery County Jail, is accused of trying to hire a hit man to murder a county prosecutor and attack the district attorney.
The trial has been moved to Brazos County, so Canfield could get a fair trial, and is expected to start in late August.
Investigators say Canfield was in jail on a felony theft charge and she didn't know the hit man she hired was actually an undercover investigator.
