39-year old William Wagner faces charges of Injury to a Child and Assault over the incident about early Sunday morning.

College Station Police say they received a call for help at 12:05 a.m. Sunday and went to the home on Richards Street. The caller was a mother of three, and police believe she had just broken up with Wagner and asked him to move out of the home.

The mother reportedly told police Wagner was drunk, had punched her 10-year-old daughter in the face, and was outside slashing the tires of her vehicle. The mother and her three daughters left the home safely.

Police also believe Wagner nearly hit a second daughter, but the child avoided the blow.

In addition, Wagner is believed to have choked the family dog and then threw it over a fence. The dog is safe and with the family.

Wagner’s bond was set at $79,000.

This is Wagner's thirteenth Brazos County arrest since 1994. Previous arrests include charges of assaults, injuries to children, and DWI with a child under 15 years old.
