ARMED ROBBERY AT BELLVILLE STORE

For the second time in two weeks, the Bellville Police Department is investigating an armed robbery.

Monday night, Police say two black males entered Robbie’s Store on East Main and robbed the store at gunpoint.

One of the suspects grabbed the clerk, who was returning from a store room, and while holding a gun to her head, forced her to open the cash register.

The two then fled on foot with the cash and some cigarettes, running in the direction of North Miller Street.  Moments later a dark-colored, newer model SUV sped through the parking lot and headed toward North Miller.  Authorities say they do not know if the SUV was involved in the robbery.

One suspect was wearing a black jacket, red shorts and Air Jordan shoes.  The second was wearing a black jacket, black shorts and black shoes.

The clerk was not hurt in the robbery.

Two weeks ago, Bellville Police worked a similar armed robbery at the local Pizza Hut.  The suspects in that case remain at large.  Authorities say they cannot say if the two are related.

Police are asking anyone with information in regards to this robbery to contact the Bellville Police Department at (979) 865-3122 or Austin County Crime Stoppers at (979) 865-2949.

  1. What is this world coming to when people are robbing a Pizza Hut & Robbie’s in Bellville at gun point? Those poor clerks that went through that! I’m glad no one was hurt, but prayers to those people and I hope they find these criminals.
