The Washington County Sheriff’s department and the Brenham Police department K9 unit were involved in a manhunt Tuesday morning when a suspect ran during a traffic stop.  At 7 am Tuesday, a Sheriff’s deputy was dispatched to a report of a suspicious vehicle on Highway 105.  The deputy located the vehicle and stopped it at the intersection of 105 and Blue Bell Road.

While the deputy was checking his driver’s license, the driver ran into the wooded area behind the Rattlers store.  He was found with the aid of the Brenham Police K9 unit.  Arrested was 28 year old Dustin Ray Horrocks, who was wanted on a parole warrant for burglary.  He is also now charged with evading arrest and is being held in the Washington County jail.
