BHS STUDENTS WIN HONORS AT HLSR ART SHOW

The Brenham Independent School District held their HLSR (Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo) Student Art Show in January at Brenham Elementary School. These pieces of student art were chosen to move on to the final Grand Prix round of judging .  The pieces of art will be on display in the Hayloft Gallery at Reliant Center for most of the duration of HLSR. The HLSR School Art Awards ceremony will take place on March 8, 2014 at 9:30 a.m. in Reliant Center and those pieces of student art that are chosen for auction will be sold on Sunday, March 16th in Reliant Arena. Students whose work will be auctioned will receive a cash award for their art.

Kaitlyn Bazar won a Gold Medal in the 2-D competition for her charcoal drawing.
Shawn Michael combo
Shawn Michael won a Gold Medal in the 2-D competition for his oil painting.
Mini Kraft combo
Mina Kraft won a Special Merit award in the 2-D competition for her colored pencil drawing.
