BLINN STUDENT GOVERNMENT RECOGNIZED

  

Two students an one faculty advisor from Blinn College’s student government association were honored for their service and leadership at the recent Texas Junior College Student Government Association state convention in Austin.

Bryan campus Social Sciences Professor Brandon Franke  was named state advisor of the year after earning the designation at the regional conference in March.

Jeremy Peel, a second year student from Caldwell, won state student of the year, marking the first time a Blinn student has won the award in its 24 year Student Government history.

Mary Barnes Tilley, a Social Sciences professor on the Brenham campus, was sworn in as the advisor for the TJCSA Region IV.

Garret Smith, the student activities coordinator on the Bryan campus was sworn in as regional advisor elect.
