BLUE BELL COMING TO LAS VEGAS
What happens in Vegas may stay in Vegas but some of the things happening in Brenham is going to Vegas.
Beginning March 3rd residents of Las Vegas will get their first taste of the ‘best ice cream in the country.’ Blue Bell Ice Cream of Brenham is coming to the legendary resort city.
Blue Bell will be opening a 12,000 square foot distribution facility in Las Vegas. The distribution center will have 14 employees under the supervision of a sales manager. The new facility will serve the entire Las Vegas area and the surrounding suburbs. This could add up to an additional two millin customers to geographic area served by Blue Bell. Blue Bell is already the third largest selling ice cream in the country, even though it is sold in only 23 states.
Harold Gilson, the regional manager for Blue Bell, explains the timing of the market entry by saying: ‘Blue Bell Ice Cream had had an enthusiastic reception across the Southeast, Southwest and Mid-West. After many requests from consumers and grocery store managers, we are delighted to bring Blue Bell to the Las Vegas area.”
I was born and raised in Texas so Blue Bell had been a part of my life for may years. My husbands job took us to West Virginia in 2002 so no more Blue Bell, except for a couple of trips back to Texas. Then in 2011 the job took us to Las Vegas so still no Blue Bell. So when I heard on the news last night that you were coming to Vegas needless to say I AM THRILLED. I HAVE REALLY MISSED HAVING THE BEST ICE CREAM EVER MADE.
