BRENHAM CITY COUNCIL TO TAKE UP ANNEXATIONS AGAIN

  

The Brenham City Council will hold the second of two public hearings about a proposed annexation of 400 acres adjacent to the city limits, when the Council meets today (Thursday) at city hall.

City Manager Terry Roberts says there are some good reasons the city staffers recommended these partials of land to be annexed.

The annexations area 281 acres along state highway 36 north to Dixie Street, 10.5 acres of land on the western right of way of state highway 36 in the direction of Anderson Lane, 45 acres between South Blue Bell Road and Tiaden Lane, and 46 acres between FM 389 n Industrial Boulevard.

Some residents, especially in the first tract were concerned about the extension of utilities and other city services, and whether the services would cost too much.

The Brenham City Council meets today (Thursday) at one at city hall.
