BRENHAM MAN FACES NUMEROUS CHARGES
A Brenham man faces multiple charges after his arrest on Christmas Day.
Brenham Police were called out to CVS Pharmacy on South Day Street, where a worker told Officer Heather Sowders that she saw a man steal a Fuji Digital Camera and a Scandisk card. The stolen items are valued at around $120.
The man then reportedly fled the store and was spotted a short time later by Officer Seth Klem in the Holliday Inn parking lot off Highway 290.
28-year old Charles Edward Mills of Brenham admitted he had the stolen items in his car. Klem also found seven Hydrocodone pills along with a .40-caliber Springfield hand gun and a 6-and-a-half inch knife.
Mills was charged with theft, unlawful carrying of a weapon and possession of a controlled substance.
He is currently free on bond.
