BRENHAM POLICE INVESTIGATE TWO CASES AT WAL-MART

Brenham Police made three arrests in two separate cases, both at the same time Monday night, at a local store.

Police were called out to the Brenham Wal Mart, just after 7:00 Monday night.

The first call involved two people an employee says he saw inhaling from an aerosol can they’d taken from a shelf.  The worker says he was able to detain one of the suspects.

Sgt. Jason Derrick says the subject, identified at 17-year old Brandon Michael Reeves of Brenham, was charged with Public Intoxication, Possession and Use of Abusable Aerosols,

While Derrick was investigating that case, another store employee says he witnessed a man walk out of the store with a flat-screen TV without paying.

The man reportedly got into a car with the TV and headed east on Highway 290.  A witness says he saw the suspect turn into the Bluebonnet Hills Subdivision.

Cpl. David Dudenhoeffer and Washington Co. Sheriff’s deputies found the vehicle and stopped the suspect.  Authorities say the stolen TV had been dropped off at a friend’s house where they later found it.

Police also found drug paraphernalia and a small amount of drugs in the car.

Arrested were: 22-year old Zachary Eugene Ford and 23-year old Joshua Eric Bryan, both of Brenham.
