BRENHAM SCHOOL BOARD TO PURCHASE SCIENCE TEXTBOOKS AND GET UPDATE ON NEW SCHOOL CONSTRUCTION

The Brenham School Board  will get an update on the construction of the new elementary school and the renovations at the middle school when they hold their regular monthly meeting.

Assistant Supt. Byron McDams says the work on the schools show real progress and in spite of some rain, the work is getting done.  Both schools should be ready for the new school year that begins in August.  These projects were approved in May of 2012 when Brenham school district voters approved a $26 million bond issue.

The School Board  will also make a construction purchase order for contracts for furniture, fixtures and equipment for the Brenham Middle School Addition and the new Alton Elementary School.

The School Board is also expected to purchase science textbooks, both digital and print for grades K-8, IPC, Biology, Chemistry and Physics.

The Brenham School Board meets Monday at 6 at the High School Lecture Room.
