BRENHAM WOMAN ARRESTED; CHARGED
A suspicious vehicle stopped in a driveway on Chappell Hill Road in Washington County has led to the arrest of a 33 year old Brenham woman.
Washington County Sheriff’s Deputies Fay Janes and Susan Gibbs were patrolling Sunday night at around 10:30, when they spotted a 1997 pick-up truck stopped in a private driveway.
Deputies watched the suspicious vehicle drive off, and noticed an equipment violation, stopped the vehicle for an expired registration.
The was identified as 33-year old Mariya Elizabeth Williams.
Deputies discovered Williams was a convicted felon. Williams was placed into custody for driving while License Invalid with No Insurance and Expired Registration.
An inventory of the vehicle yielded a .40 caliber Ruger pistol. Due to Williams being a convicted felon she was also charged with Unlawful Possession of a firearm by a felon.
William’s bond was set at $11,250.00 and she remains in the Washington County Jail.
