What a difference a season makes.

The Buccaneers are riding a five-game winning streak after beating Lone Star College – Kingsville 133-83 Thursday night in the Blinn P.E. Building.

“We’re staring to figure out how to move the ball and score in transition,” Blinn (5-0) coach Scott Schumacher said.

The Buccaneers used 14 guys to push the ball and keep it a fast-paced game. It’s a game plan that Schumacher said the Bucs will likely follow this season.

“I said it at the beginning, I think our best attribute is our depth and how many guys we can play,” Schumacher said, who’s in his second season with the team.

That depth lead to all 14 players scoring Thursday, led by sophomore Macari Brooks, who had his second consecutive 29-point game. Blinn got 17 points from Eddie Alcantara and 16 from Lionheart Leslie.

Roderick Harris contributed nine points and Eric Ross scored eight.

Blinn shot 75 percent (18 of 24) from the free thrown line

The Bucs have scored at least 111 points in four straight games, and Thursday’s win was their second straight scoring at least 120.
