The contest was the Buccaneers’ Here I Am Orphan Ministries game, with gate proceeds going to benefit the Christian non-profit ministry, which cares for orphans through prayer, missions, education, advocacy and adoption awareness. Blinn has partnered with Here I Am Orphan Ministries for the second year of its Adopt-a-Charity program, which donated more than $1,200 to Adam’s Angels Ministry last year. As part of the Adopt-A-Charity program, each of Blinn’s six sports dedicate proceeds toward its partner nonprofit.  For more information on Orphan Ministries go to: www.orphanministries.com.

The Buccaneers are off until Tuesday, Oct. 21, when they play at Wharton County Junior College at 6 p.m.
