BUCS SUSPENDED TOURNAMENT GAME POST-PONED

Buccaneers’ game postponed to Wednesday

Blinn leads San Jacinto 6-3 in conference tournament semifinals

LUFKIN, Texas – The Blinn baseball team will have to wait another day to vie for its spot in the Region XIV Conference championship.

The Buccaneers’ game against San Jacinto at 1 p.m. today has been postponed once again due to heavy rain. The game is rescheduled for Wednesday at a time to be determined.

Blinn and San Jacinto started their semifinal match-up at 5 p.m. Monday before it was called because of inclement weather. The Bucs lead the Gators 6-3 in the top of the fourth. Blinn has the bases loaded with no outs and the team’s most consistent hitter, Nolan Brown, at the plate.

Brown is batting .405 this season with 70 hits—seven for home runs—and 36 runs batted in.

The contest between Alvin and Galveston today is also postponed to tomorrow.
