BURLESON COUNTY UNDERCOVER DRUG OPERATION NETS FOUR

A Caldwell undercover investigation into crack cocaine has led to the arrest of three people—while another is being sought.

Undercover DPS agents have charged all four with Engaging in Organized Criminal Activity.

48-year old Lolita Jefferson and 48-year old Leroy Waller were both arrested in Caldwell, Wednesday.

Authorities also served 42-year old Christopher Deere with a warrant while he was at the Brazos County Jail on an unrelated theft charge.

Meanwhile, a warrant has also been issued for Erik Lee Castaneda of Burleson County.  Authorities say he remains at large.

District Attorney Julie Renken says the arrests are in connection with a months-long investigation into the delivery of crack cocaine.

During the arrests on Wednesday, a DPS helicopter was involved, as were highway patrol troopers and Burleson County deputies.

Jefferson and Waller were being held at the Burleson County Jail, while Deere remained at the Brazos County Jail.
