Reports from the DPS say the woman refused to stop her car when troopers tried to pull her over at about 6:30pm Tuesday night.  She drove away and the troopers, joined by sheriff’s deputies and other law enforcement pursued her.

Trooper threw out the traffic spikes near Hearne, stopping the vehicle.  Troopers, deputies and a SWAT team surrounded her car when she refused to get out.  She finally surrendered and was taken to an area hospital for observation.

The case remains under investigation.
