CHILD ABUSE PREVENTION MONTH LUNCH AND LEARN

  

Child Abuse Prevention Month continues today  as the Court Appointed Special Advocates, or CASA For Kids, and Scott and White Hospital will have a free Lunch and Learn at noon . 

Julie Overstreet of CASA says they will be going over the mental and physical health implications in cases of child abuse and neglect, as wqell as letting the public know what they can do about it as a community.

Overstreet also reminds everyone that this Saturday morning is the Child Abuse Awareness Walk and Balloon Release sponsored by CASA for Kids, CPS, Child Welfare Board and Scott and White in Brenham.  The free program is at the Washington County Courthouse steps at 9am.  This is followed by a two mile walk and prayer/balloon release.  They will also have free Blue Bell Ice Cream and information about other various non-profits that come together to help the community.
