CITY COUNCIL TAKES NO ACTION ON LANDFILL

The Brenham City Council today (Thursday) took no action on an offer to purchase the 204 acres of land in between Brenham and Chappell Hill that was once permitted to be a landfill.

The city had given up the permit seven years ago, after it appeared a landfill would never be located there.

The city council recently hired Hodde Realty to market the land.  City Manager Terry Roberts said today’s (Thursday’s) executive session was the first chance the city council had to look at the offer.
