CITY OF SEALY RELEASES CONNECTED TECHNOLOGY PLAN

The City of Sealy has unveiled a plan to better connect it with the technology of the future.

Sealy recently announced that it is participating in the Connected Community Engagement Program through Connected Texas.  This means the City of Sealy has gone through an extensive assessment of its overall broadband and technology innovation, and developed a Technology Action Plan.  The Plan sets general community-wide broadband connectivity requirements to be worked toward that will support economic development and residential quality of life.  The new plan gives Sealy step-by-step action items to make sure the goals are met and will aid in future broadband expansion and programs.  The goal is to ensure the Sealy community maintains widespread internet access, adoption and use.

Sealy is one of 45 Texas communities currently involved in some stage of the Connected program, which is funded by the U.S. Department of Commerce.
