COLLEGE STATION MAN ARRESTED ON SEXUAL ASSAULT CHARGE

  

A College Station man has been arrested after police say he allegedly beat up and sexually assaulted his neighbor.

25-year-old Cody Ryan Smith is charged with Burglary of a Habitation with Intent to Commit Sexual Assault, which is a first degree felony.

The 18-year-old victim tells authorities she was asleep when she heard a knock at the front door of her Holleman Drive apartment. She opened the door, thinking it was a friend. That’s when police say Smith forced his way inside.

The victim called a family member who contacted police. She was able to provide detectives with the suspect’s name.
