BRENHAM MAN KILLED IN EARLY-MORNING CRASH

A Brenham-native is dead after an early-morning accident in College Station.

Police say 25-year old David Allen Wesneski, who was currently living in  College Station, was pronounced dead at the scene at the intersection of the Harvey Mitchell Parkway and George Bush Drive.

Authorities say a southbound pickup that Wesneski was a passenger in, slammed into the back of an 18-wheeler that was also southbound in the same lane.

The driver of the pickup, whose name has not been released, was treated at a nearby hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was not injured.

The Harvey Mitchell Parkway was closed to all traffic between George Bush Drive and Luther West for over five hours—but has since reopened.
