CONGRESSMAN MCCAUL HAS HARSH WORDS ON JOBS REPORT

Even with a decline in the national unemployment rate to 6.7  percent, District 10 U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul is disappointed in the figures released today (Friday) by the U.S. Department of Labor.

The local congressional representative released a statement saying ‘Today’s jobs report showing the lowest number of jobs created in three years is further evident that our national economy needs a jump start.’

Congressman McCaul says he hopes the White House and the Senate will follow the leadership of the House in passing what he calls ‘pro-growth legislation that will allow the private sector to create more jobs.’  McCaul said the decline in the unemployment rate was really representative of people who had become frustrated and quit looking for work.
