COUNTY COMMISSIONERS ALLOW UPGRADE OF COUNTY JAIL CLOSE CIRCUIT TV

  

The Washington County Commissioners allowed Sheriff Otto Hanak to make a $26,000 upgrade to the county jail’s closed circuit television system in order to keep a better eye on all the cells and inmates.  Sheriff Hanak told the Commissioner’s at today’s(Tuesday’s) meeting that for liability and security purposes, they need to be able every cell and monitor every activity in the jail.

The County Commissioners also exempted the Sheriff’s Office to use a $50,000 donation  to buy weapons for the office.

  1. Ask and you shall receive!! Kudos to the Sheriff for asking for what is needed. Maybe our County Fire Association should do the same!!! Let’s quit fighting fires with substandard equipment!
