CUBETTES SET TO FACE GEORGETOWN, TONIGHT

If the Brenham Cubettes hope to advance to the Region Final-Four Tournament, they’ll have to get by the defending State Champs, Georgetown.

The eighth-ranked Cubettes (29-3) will battle the sixth-ranked Lady Eagles (28-6) tonight at 6:00 at Hearne High School.

The Cubettes are coming off two hard-fought playoff wins, 63-56 over Pflugerville-Connally and 71-59 over Summer Creek.

The Lady Eagles dispatched Willis, 76-39 and Lumberton, 47-26.

The winner advances to the Region III/4A Semifinals, Friday at the Campbell Center.

The Brenham/Georgetown winner will face the winner of the Tomball/Rosenberg Terry game, tonight at 6:30 at Cy Ranch.

The other side of the bracket pits Montgomery against Beaumont Ozen, tonight at 6:00 at Channelview; and, Friendswood versus Goose Creek Memorial at 8:00 in Pasadena.
