EIGHT PEOPLE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT
Eight persons plead guilty to felony offenses in 21st District Court in Brenham and received sentences ranging from probation to prison terms.
District Attorney Julie Renken reports that seven of the eight guilty pleas were the result of plea bargain agreements in Judge Carson Campbell’s court. In the one that wasn’t, 37 year old Arthur Duane Lewis of Bellville was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication probation and must pay a $2000 fine and court costs for possession of a controlled substance charge from April 3rd, 2012.
27 year old Clifford Ronderri Washington of Montgomery was had his probation revoked and was sentenced to 3 years in prison for an August 21st 2011 sexual assault of a child. Washington must also pay a $1500 fine, a $477 sex offender fee, and court costs.
23 year old Anthony Dewayne Biggs of Brenham had his probation revoked and was sentenced to 3 years in prison for a tampering with physical evidence charge from May 31, 2012. Biggs must also pay a $1500 fine, court costs and his court appointed attorney fee.
52 year old Dennis Gene Maynard of Brenham was placed on 5 years probation with a 2 year prison sentence for possession of a controlled substance on April 3, 2013. Maynard must pay a $1000 fine, court costs, court appointed attorney fee, and $50 crime stoppers fee. He must perform 160 hours of community service, attend a drug offender education program, and provide urinalysis and DNA sample.
22 year old Jorge Martinez-Dorantes of Bellville received a 4 year prison sentence for a July 9th 2013 burglary of a habitation charge. He must also make restitution of $7045 and pay court costs.
65 year old Willie Lee Bimage of Brenham was placed on 5 years probation with a 5 year prison sentence for a November 5th 2013 Driving While Intoxicated charge. Bimage must also pay a $1500 fine, court costs, court appointed attorney fee, and a $50 crime stoppers fee. He must install an interlock device on his vehicle, attend drug offender education program, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, and provide urinalysis and DNA sample.
24 year old Marcos Soto-Silerio of Bryan was sentenced to 4 years deferred adjudication probation for a January 11th 2014 possession of a controlled substance charge. Soto-Silerio must also pay a $1500 fine, court costs, and $50 crime stoppers fee. He must attend a drug offender education program, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, perform 160 hours of community service, and provide urinalysis and DNA sample.
And 27 year old Raymond Keeney of Houston received 4 years deferred adjudication probation and a $1500 fine for an April 25th 2013 possession of a controlled substance charge. Keeney must also pay court costs and a $50 crime stopper fee, perform 140 hours community service, attend a drug offender education program, drug/alcohol evaluation and treatment, and provide urinalysis and DNA sample.
