EIGHT SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Eight persons plead guilty to felony cases in the 21st Judicial Court in Washington County Tuesday.  According to District Attorney Julie Renken, seven of them were sentenced by the court as per a plea bargain agreement.  Sentences ranged from probation to prison terms.

43 year old Dalton Vest of Brenham was sentenced to 8 years in prison for a second degree felony robbery from September 28th of last year.  Vest must also pay court costs and make $180.19 restitution.

36 year old Matthew Garrett Polk of Brenham received a four year term in the TDC for a second degree felony robbery committed August 12th of last year.  Polk received an additional one year sentence in the Washington County Jail for assault family violence, a class “A” misdemeanor.  He was fined $1000 and must pay the fee for his court appointed attorney.

34 year old Humberto Ramon Santana of Brenham was sentenced to 7 years in prison, plus court costs for an April 28th 2013 indecency with a child – sexual assault…a second degree felony.

32 year old Narciso Aaron Santillan of Brenham received a four year sentence in the TDC, plus court costs, for indecency with a child – exposes, which was enhanced to a second degree felony.  The incident occurred on March 21st earlier this year.

37 year old Sammy Keith Greenwald of Magnolia had his probation revoked and was given a 9 month prison sentence, a $2500 fine plus court costs.  Greenwald plead guilty to two cases of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger, a state jail felony.  The incident occurred on May 23, 2010.

27 year old Anthony Byron Jones of Brenham had his probation revoked and was sentenced to one year in the Washington County Jail, plus court costs and court appointed attorney fee.  Jones plead guilty to possession of a controlled substance, a state jail felony, from an offense on March 8, 2010.

27 year old Labyron Desmond Dever of Brenham was given a 180 day prison term, and must pay court costs and make $140 in restitution.  Dever plead guilty to possession of a controlled substance, a state jail felony from a March 2, 2013 offense.

32 year old Brandy Pittman of Brenham received 5 years deferred adjudication, must pay court costs and $7,205 in restitution, work 200 hours of community service, and provide DNA samples and urinalysis.  Pittman plead guilty to tampering with a government record, a state jail felony.

21st District Court Judge Reva L. Towslee Corbett presided over the cases in the Washington County Courthouse.
