FAYETTE CO. DEPUTY HONORED
A Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy has received some prestigious recognition.
Sheriff Keith Korenek has announced that an investigator assigned to the Fayette County Narcotics Unit received Narcotics Officer of the Year for the Central Region from the Texas Narcotics Officers Association.
The event is held in annually and recognizes investigators for their hard work and dedication battling the growing drug problem.
Only 3 investigators from Texas received this award.
The investigator, whose name is being withheld due to the sensitivity of his position, received a plaque and a custom engraved Glock .40 caliber handgun.
