FAYETTE COUNTY FATAL

  

One man was killed and up to 20 people were injured in a pickup truck rollover near La Grange Saturday afternoon.

Reports from the Texas Department of Public Safety say a man, only identified as ‘Joe’ was killed in the pickup truck he was riding in on a Farm to Market Road near La Grange, ran off the road and rolled over.  He along with 22 others were in the back of the truck.  The DPS reports that as many as 20  of those passengers were injured.

The rollover happened at 2:07pm Saturday on FM 1295.  The reports say the truck ran off the road, overcorrected and then rolled over.  The deceased was declared dead at the scene.  The investigation into the accident continues.
