GIRL INJURED IN HEARNE HIT-AND-RUN
A Friday afternoon hit-and-run accident in Hearne has sent a little girl to the hospital
Hearne Police are investigating the hit and run that a little girl on a bicycle.
A medical helicopter picked the girl up at Hearne High School and flew her to Scott and White Hospital in Temple.
Police report the girl—whose age and identity have not been released—was riding her bicycle at the corner of Riley and 2nd Street in Hearne, when she was struck by a vehicle that then fled the scene.
Authorties say the driver of the vehicle has been caught, but so far no word on any charges.
