GLEN WEST ELECTED COACHES ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT

Long time Brenham High School athletic director and head football coach Glen West has been elected the new president of the Texas High School Coaches Association.

West was elected over two other candidates: Aledo head football coach Tim Buchannan and John King coach at Longview.  West received 57% of the vote.

The vote was conducted at the annual THSCA Coaching School in San Antonio Wednesday morning.

West has been the head coach and athletic director at Brenham High school for 16 years.

He has won 158 games in Brenham and led the Cubs to the State Championship game in 2002, 2010 and 2013.

West is preparing to lead the Cubs into the 2015 season as two-a-days begin Monday, August 4th.

KWHI will be broadcasting The Brenham Sports Line live from the Cubs’ Kruse Field House that night from 5:35 to 6:30.
