HARD FREEZE HITS BRAZOS VALLEY

A hard freeze has hit the Brazos Valley, including Washington, Austin, Brazos, Burleson, Grimes, and Waller counties.

Temperatures dipped well into the 20s overnight after the National Weather Service issued a hard freeze warning lasting through much of the morning.  The National Weather Service expects another hard freeze for overnight Monday and Tuesday morning.

Clouds will be a key factor in just how cold temperatures can drop.  This is the coldest spell to hit the Brazos Valley in two years.  On February 2nd 2011 the low temperature hit 19 degrees for much of the Brazos Valley.
