HERITAGE SOCIETY ANNOUNCES NEW BOARD MEMBERS

  

The Heritage Society of Washington County recently held their annual Board meeting where new Board Members were inducted and the accomplishments of Cynthia Hamrick, as outgoing president, were celebrated.

While serving as a president for six years, Cynthia focused on the Heritage Society’s mission to preserve the historic homes and artifacts while fostering education about the history of Washington County. Some of those successful efforts include, but not limited to: partnered with the City of Brenham, Brenham Heritage Museum and the Brenham Fire Department to develop Local History Day for 4th and 7th graders, becoming the pilot property for the Chamber’s Bluebonnet Beautification Project, Annual Gala honoring Steve James and working with Heritage Museum to preserve photos and documents.

New board members are Rachel Eckert Nordt, president; Carolyn Neal, 1st Vice President; Kristine Trevino, assisting with Properties; Holly Johnson, VP of Media; Allison Crownson, VP of Events; Vicki LaRue, VP of Fundraising; Suzann Jones, VP of Tours; Mary Kuecker and Paula Buls, Belle Coordinators; Cynthia Hamrick, recording secretary; Ginger Bosse, treasurer; and Katie Burch, Ashley Loesch and Theresa Rodenbeck.  Not pictured: Casey Rogers, membership secretary
