HOUSTON ISD OFFICER SHOOTS AT PICKUP AT A HIGH SCHOOL

A police officer with the Houston school district fired on a suspected car burglar who tried to hit him with a pickup truck this (Thursday) morning.

The incident occurred at 8:26am outside of Barbara Jordan High School on the northeast side of Houston.  One of the pickup truck’s windows was reportedly shot out, but there were no reports of injuries.  The suspect and an accomplice got away.

School officials said a campus officer was patrolling the parking lot when he spotted two people suspected of breaking into a vehicle.  The officer confronted the two and ordered them to get out of their pickup truck.

The two drove off and the officer fired his weapon.  The incident remains under investigation.
