KWHI AND BRENHAM NATIONAL BANK TO HOST POLITICAL FORUM WEDNESDAY

KWHI will be giving local voters the chance to hear from the candidates for the upcoming primary, with our annual candidates’ forum Wednesday night.

Republican candidates for three Justice of the Peace positions and for County Court at Law Judge have been invited to take part in the forum, in the lobby at Brenham National Bank.

There are no contested races on the Democrats’ ballot.

The forum will also be broadcast live on AM-1280 KWHI.

Running for Washington County Court-at-Law Judge are the incumbent Matthew Reue and current assistant District Attorney Eric Berg.

The candidates for Justice of the Peace include: Precinct-2 incumbent Douglas Cone and challenger Dennis Todd; Precinct-3 incumbent Roy May and challenger Ken Tofel; and three candidates for Precinct-4, Bill Kendall, Val Kiecke and Robin Luedtke.

The forum is open to the public and gets underway at 5:45, Wednesday night.

Candidates will give a brief opening statement, then field questions from members of the audience, members of the media and from the KWHI listeners.

Listeners can call in their question at 836-3655 or email them to mail@kwhi.com .
