LAND LEASE AD
Washington County Judge John Brieden says the County Commissioners need to advertise proposals to lease over 8300 acres of land the county owns in Tom Green County. The County Commissioners are meeting today (Monday) at the courthouse.
Judge Brieden says one lease holder quit paying for the lease. He says the land is used for hunting and grazing and the county needs to make sure that any new lease holder would properly take care of the land.
This is only a small portion of all the land the county owns in the San Angelo area. The proceeds from the land are used for the benefit of the Brenham and Burton school districts.
The Washington County Commissioners are meeting today (Monday) because the results of the November 5th state constitutional election need to be canvassed.
