LOIS KOLKHORST TOURS BORDER WITH DPS

District-13 State Representative Lois Kolkhorst of Brenham has seen first-hand the battle being waged on the Texas/Mexico border.

Kolkhorst recently travelled to the border to meet with the Department of Public Safety and survey their efforts to patrol the border.

Kolkhorst met with DPS Director Steve McGraw and officers from Region 3 for a confidential briefing on the current border operations.

Kolkhorst says the key is understanding what the officers are trying to combat…

Kolkhorst spent a day at the state’s Operation Strong Safety Command Post, where she took part in armed patrols, and said she’s proud of the efforts of the DPS, Border Patrol, Texas Military Forces and local law enforcement.

She also says that when Washington D.C. fails the state, it’s up to Texas to take the lead on border security operations…

Kolkhorst says she personally has talked to U.S. Congressman Michael McCaul to thank him for leading the effort reimburse Texas for all the money spent to carry out what she calls “a constitutional, federal duty”.

She adds that she’s making a concerted effort to help stop this influx of drugs and illegal aliens…

Kolkhorst says her trip to the border has reinforced the point that Texas need to keep building on previous surge operations—she says, “…until the federal government finally decides o enforce the law and protect our border.”

  1. The borders need to be closed. Terrorists are coming in to America! Majority of Americans are not aware of how much trouble America is in. God is slow to anger but when He unleashes His wrath it will be devastating! Christians are being persecuted around the world severely. We are losing our freedoms that so many men and women fought for. The Bible says in Revelation what signs to look for in the end times! We are indeed in the end times. Wake Up Americans before it is to late!

  2. Thank you Kolkhorst for caring about America! We need more people like you in politics. You are such a great christian! If we would all follow your example by praying to God and care about people in America this country would be so much better off! Praise God for people like you Kolkhorst!

  3. Better the National Guard be the babysitters than the Coyotes who abduct and exploit them. And yes, they do exist on our side of the border. The kids are picked up on the promise of helping them make it past the border patrol, and then their taken to Houston, the human trafficking capital of the US, where their forced into prostitution, drug trade, etc.

  4. They are trying to combat all the drugs and illegals that are coming across the boarder! It’s a real problem in TX and across the U.S!
At least Representative Kolkhorst is doing something about it!

  5. Jenny, combat, the verb, not the noun; but we ARE thrown into a war against ILLEGAL immigrants, by whatever name.
What makes us think that people who BROKE OUR LAW to get here will have any reason to abide by our laws once they are here.?
Sending the TEXAS Natl Guard there is a burden on TEXAS taxpayers, but SOMEBODY must since the fed won’t do IT’S job.. What I don’t understand is WHO won’t let us put the troops ON THE BORDER to stop entry, rather than 40 miles back?

  6. Combat? Are we in a war against immigrants named Jesus? Sending the National Guard down there was a waste of taxpayers money, the National Guard can’t even arrest any of the immigrants. The National Guard is nothing more than babysitters, babysitting all the children crossing the border without parents.
