MAN BUSTED FOR EATING MARIJUANA DURING TRAFFIC STOP

  

A Brenham man was having an usual lunch during a traffic stop Wednesday afternoon and ended up being arrested by Brenham police.

Officer Justin Schiller stopped 29-year old Jeremy Lasperia Lewis on a minor violation in the 700 block of West Wilkins  at 2:39pm, Wednesday.  Officer Schiller needed to go back to his police patrol vehicle for a moment but when he came back he saw Lewis chewing something, and taking a sip of a soft drink to wash it down.  The officer could also see the residue of marijuana on his shirt.  The residue tested positive for marijuana. 

Lewis was then arrested for tampering with evidence, a Class A misdemeanor.
