MONTGOMERY COUNTY WOMAN KILLED IN FIRE
A Montgomery County woman is dead after a Christmas night fire at her mobile home.
The fire broke out just before 5:30 between New Caney and Conroe on Deer Glen West Drive just off Highway 242.
Firefighters discovered the mobile home completely engulfed in flames upon arrived on scene.
It wasn't until the fire was put out that first responders found the victim.
Officials believe the woman, who has yet to be identified, was the only person home at the time. Her body has been sent off for autopsy.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
