MOST WANTED SEX OFFENDER HAS LOCAL TIES

  

A man whose name has been added to the state’s 10 Most Wanted Sex Offenders List has ties to Brenham.

The Texas Department of Public Safety is asking for the public's help in finding 28-year old Ezekiel Harris. A $3,000 reward is being offered for information that could lead to his capture.

Harris is wanted for failing to register as a sex offender.

According to DPS, Harris' last known address was in Bryan.

He reportedly also has ties to Brenham.  Harris was convicted in 2004 on a charge of Sexaul Assault of a 12-year old girl.  He was sentenced to 10 years probation, but authorities say he repeatedly violated the terms of that sentence.

Harris is described as a 5'6" black male, weighing 150 pounds and has tattoos on his upper right and left arms. He also has scars on his upper left arm and his right leg.

DPS says not to attempt to make contact with anyone on their list because they could be armed and dangerous.

There are four ways offered for providing anonymous tips that make you eligible for cash rewards:

- Call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS (8477)
- Text the letters 'DPS' followed by the tip to 274637 (CRIMES)
- Go to the DPS website, choose the fugitive you have info on, then click the link under their picture
- Submit a Facebook tip at facebook.com/texas10mostwanted by clicking the "SUBMIT A TIP" link under the about section
