NAVASOTA BLUES FEST BEGINS THURSDAY AUGUST 7TH

  

The Annual Blues Fest Celebration in Navasota will kick off Thursday, August 7 at Mallett Brothers Barbeque in Navasota with some live music from local talent. The festivities will continue on through Sunday featuring several Blues artist and musical activities.

A Cigar Box Guitar workshop will be held at Blues Alley in downtown Navasota Friday afternoon, followed by live music at the Navasota Expo Center. Saturday morning, a free guitar session with Michael Birnbaum will be held from 10:00 – 11:00. Live music will continue on through the afternoon beginning at 2:00.

Admission for this event is $15.00 on Friday and $25.00 on Saturday, or $30.00 for both days if tickets are purchased by August 8. In conjunction with this event, Millers Theater of Navasota will also be showing The Blues Brothers classic film throughout the weekend.
