NEARBY DOWNTOWN BUSINESSES BURGLARIZED

  

Brenham Police are investigating a pair of similar burglaries that occurred within several feet of each other

Officers were called out Wednesday morning to Day Star Christian Bookstore at 208 West Alamo.

The owner says someone had broken into his store overnight.  Taken was the cash register which contained about $100.

A metal door at the rear of the store had been forced open.

Later Wednesday morning, police were called to The Book Nook at 212 West Alamo.

The owner says when she arrived at work she discovered a number of items on the counter had been knocked over and the cash register was missing there as well.

Police are continuing their investigation.
