23-year old Jacob Andrew Bohannon faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.

Boahnnon was arrested in May 2011 after he admitted to an investigator that he had sexual relations with a 14-year old girl when he was 20.

Authorities were notified about the incident by staff at St. Joseph hospital after the girl's stepmother took her in to be examined.

Assistant district attorneys Jason Goss and Clay Kimbrough rested their case after presenting DNA evidence.

Bohannon's attorney, Brent Wasserstein, will begin his case today (Wednesday).

Sexual assault of a child is a second-degree felony punishable by two to 20 years in prison and a $10,000 fine.

Because he lacks a previous felony conviction, Bohannon is eligible for parole.
