RAIN CAUSES CHANGES IN CUBS STADIUM PARKING

Many people going to the last Brenham Cubs home game of the season against Caney Creek will need to find another place to park.

Jon Forsythe, the Brenham School District’s Student Services Coordinator says the rain this week has made the parking area in between Cubs Stadium and the junior high school way too muddy, and he is afraid people will get stuck.   He recommends parking in other nearby places.

Forsythe says there are many parking spots at the junior high school parking lot, along Tom Green, and on the east side of the stadium, the parking lot for the Blue Bell Aquatic Center.

Forsythe was concerned that many would get stuck in the regular parking place, making for a lengthy wait to get home after the game.

  1. It’s easy to just say just pave the parking area. Do you know what that would cost? I agree that gravel would be sufficient. We’ve used it for all of these years, and it hasn’t been that much of a hardship in my opinion.

  2. After 25 years of use, surely BISD can figure out a way to get our parking lot finally paved. Can I get a second?

      1. Something needs to be done about parking. We have the worst parking lot in our district. It’s too dangerous to have people parking on street & it’s a long walk from Jr. High to stadium. Hopefully this will be addressed.
