RECENTLY RESIGNED CALDWELL SCHOOL SUPT. TAKES ANOTHER JOB

  

The Caldwell School Superintendent who recently resigned after a controversial tenure has landed another job. 

Dr. Janet Cummings, who recently accepted a nearly $100,000 buy out of her contract is now serving in a new position, though she will continue with the district until August 31st.  Cummings agreed to resign her position in exchange for $99,760.  She now serves as superintendent for federal programs.  

The Caldwell School Board named Tim Cuff, the principal of Caldwell High School to be the interim superintendent.

Cummings resigned in March after a four year tenure.  Before that she had been the principal at the elementary school and curriculum coordinator.

She had been the subject of several executive session since November before she submitted her resignation.

Cummings had fielded questions about the administration of discipline to students.

She also oversaw students at Caldwell Elementary School while the school building is cleaned of mold.
