SPRING CLEAN UP COMING UP

  

The City of Brenham Collection Station, in the 2000 block of Old Chappell Hill Road, will be holding its annual 2014 Spring Open Collection Days for city and county residents.  Open collection is for non-hazardous materials only.  Open collection for city residents will be Thursday, April 3rd  through Saturday, April 5th.  The county residents can drop off their excess trash and garbage from April 10th through the 12th.  Collection times are from 8am to 4:30 Thursday and Friday and 8am to 3:30 pm Saturday.

You can bring yard waste, construction debris, scrap metal, automotive batteries, furniture, compactable trash and appliances.  Appliances with coolant will be assessed $20 for the removal of coolant is not certified prior to the drop off.

New this year Washington County along with the Brazos Valley Council of Governments is offering a free scrap tire collection event at the same time of the spring clean up days.  City and County residents may bring up to eight twenty inch and smaller tires to the collection days for no charge.

The city will not be accepting propane tanks, large numbers of computers or hazardous waste items.  Proof of residence and ID must be presented.

After you drop off your trash and your trailer is empty, you can pick up a load of municipal mulch for your spring gardens.
