St. Joseph’s Hospital in Bryan has been expanding to the area counties, including Austin County.

Austin County Judge Carolyn Bilski says she is concerned that the regional health care provider wants to take over the county’s emergency medical service.

That’s a concern for the Austin County Commissioners when they meet Monday. Judge Bilski says there are numerous options to consider before making a decision.

This is part of a busy agenda for the Austin County Commissioners Monday.

They will consider the pressure washing of the Austin County courthouse.

Judge Bilski says it’s time for the County Commissioners to begin preparing for hurricane season. Emergency Management will have a presentation on the county’s plans.
