STOLEN TRUCK SET ABLAZE

  

A Brenham man had his pickup stolen and set on fire sometime Friday night or Saturday morning.

Officer Jonathan Phipps was called to the 1800 block of Lakeview Drive in reference to a stolen vehicle.

A man says his Chevy Silverado pickup was stolen from his driveway; he added the doors were unlocked and the keys were probably in the vehicle.

While speaking with the victim, Phipps heard over the radio that Washington County Sheriff’s deputies had recovered a vehicle that was fully engulfed in flames in the 1300 block of Old Navasota.

Phipps met with the deputies and after seeing pictures of the burnt vehicle the victim identified the truck as his.
