TAX APPRAISAL NOTICES MAILED OUT

The Washington County Tax Appraisal District has sent out thousands of Notices of Appraised Value to Washington County property owners this week.

Willie DIllworth, the county’s tax appraiser, says they have not seen any definitive trends—especially dramatic increases this year….

Dillworth says there were a few properties that did receive significant increases, due to something in particular with that property or a adjustment to that market area.

Dillworth reminds the public that this is not a property tax bill, but a notice of the appraised value of the property. The bills will go out in October.
