Downtown Brenham will be busy this Friday and Saturday afternoons, full of food, football, shopping, and beer.

At Brew U event on Friday, the public will get a chance to expand their beer-drinking experience at the Bullock Ballroom in the Simon Theatre, where the nuances between beers and food pairings will be demonstrated.

Mainstreet Brenham director Jennifer Eckermann had this to say about the upcoming events on Friday:

On Saturday, The Texas Brew-Step, a craft brew event, will serve up different hand crafted brews from across the state.

Patrons will be able to shop at local stores, eat at the downtown restaurants and enjoy Saturday afternoon college football in the Suddenlink/Express Home Furnishing Football Frenzy Tent on the square.

Tickets to Brew U are $45 and tickets to the Texas Brew Step are $35. $5 can be saved if tickets are purchased together.
